Description

200 km far from Athens at the east coast of the Peloponnese, the ten traditional lodges of Kiriou family, surrounded by cultivated fields, make up a favor ground combining sea and mountain. A beautiful family atmosphere and a warm reception are waiting for you in this verdurous area, less than 1 km far from the beautiful beach of Plaka, with its small port.

The houses are comfortable and beautifully decorated. The presence of stone and wood attribute to a lovely atmosphere. All lodging facilities are identical, a surface of 55m2 as well as two balconies and two entrances. 

The rooms are separated in levels, you have to climb up seven steps so that you may have access to the room and walk down another seven to enter the kitchen and the bathroom. 

The neighboring fields are grown with peppers and artichokes but citrus fruits as well ( tangerines and oranges ). The garden is full of cucumbers and delicious tomatoes that your host Sarados will be pleased to serve you every morning.

Every day enjoy your breakfast coming in a basket full of home-made bread, jams and sweets, freshly cut oranges and eggs from the farm henhouse. Feel and taste the real country products and start exploring this unspoiled part of the Peloponnese.

One the positive side: Nice location, convenient to reach both beach and village . Staff friendly and professional. Breakfast basket delivered to cottage daily is one good initiative. On the negative side: our cottage was near the entrance of the property and in front of the main road: too much car traffic noise including night time, this not matching an agroturist profile.

Nous avons séjourné à  Léonidio  à Agroktima et avons vécu dans un lieu de belle architecture, très confortable et spacieux, parfaitement équipé, idéalement environné d’oliveraies et d’orangeraies, tranquille… Et tellement convivial : Angeliki et Sarandos sont deux personnes exquises ; attentives et prévenantes envers leurs séjournants. La générosité est aussi un trait de leurs personnalités : comment ne pas oublier  les délicieuses oranges et marmelades de production familiale qui nous furent  offertes  pour agrémenter – plus encore – notre séjour!. Il est important de mettre en perspective la qualité humaine d'Angeliki et Sarandos qui nous ont permis de vivre un temps de vacances serein et épanouissant. By road from Athens: National Road Athens– Corinthos-Tripolis. Exit towards Argos, then take the direction for Astros and Leonidio (200 km, 2 hours and 30'approximately) From Leonidio, take the road to the Plaka beach. The "Agroktima" houses are situated on the same road, 3 km from Leonidion, on your left.

The traditional village of Leonidion, 3 km far from the lodges, with cafés, local traditional taverns and extraordinary mansion houses “Archontika” dating back from 19th century.

Guided tour to the Tsikaliotis Tower, one of the most important historical monument of the area built on 1808 and the FABRICA building, a pre-industrial building of the 19th century.

The picturesque fishing port of Plaka and its beautiful sand and pebble beach, where you can practice sea sports.

The lovely beaches of Poulithra (5 km), Fokianos to the south and Sabatiki a few km to the north.

The worth visiting mountainous traditional villages of Parnonas: Cosmas, Paleochori and Agios Vassilios.
