Description

25 meters from Megisti, the only port and capital of the island of Kastellorizo, you will be charmed by the "Karnayo" guesthouse that comprises two renovated neoclassical residences and offers a pleasant stay for a unique holiday with your family or your friends.

Built in the early 20th century, according to the traditional architecture of the island, the residences are 50 meters away from each other and are very close to the sea, the port and to the center of the village.

One residence consists of a studio on the ground floor and an apartment on the first floor with beautiful views to the harbor. The second one consists of 4 double rooms spread over two floors and has views to the mountain.

The hospitable owners will welcome you and will inform you about our activities and visits that you should not miss during your stay on the island.

The Remezzo Café is very close to the guest house and offers a continental breakfast to its guests at the special price.

Access Information

By sea From Rhodes, daily departures to Kastellorizo, 3.30 hours with the Blue Star Ferry or 1 hour with the high speed. Βy air : From Athens, El. Venizelos airport, 3 or 4 times a week to Kastellorizo We recommend travel by air but you must make your bookings early. From the airoport, take the local bus or a Taxi towards Megisti main square (3km) From the port, follow the main coastal road to the right, pass by the coffee-shops, the tavernas and the big church of Agios Georgios. The guest house is located 150m after the church at your left and there is a sigh to lead you.

Walk around and explore marked trails, accompanied by the owners, qualified guides or on your own, starting from your place of stay or within 10 km.
The trails of the island are well-maintained and suitable for long journeys that will lead you to little churches and monasteries. Lovers of hiking will appreciate the hills of the island with its breathtaking view.

You can swim at Faros, Plakes, and Mandraki. Kastellorizo is connected daily with many itineraries with the neighboring islets Stroggili and Ro, with their idyllic coves and beaches.

Do not miss the tour of the island by boat or the daily boat trips to the caves of Parasta and Fokiali; swimming there is a unique experience.
