In the south-east part of Crete, near the village of Makrigialos, the six houses "Ville du Soleil" are located in an estate of olive groves and are built of regional stone according to the local architecture. They have spacious terraces overlooking the sea and invite you to enjoy relaxing vacations in the wild beauty of Cretan countryside.

Fully equipped, comfortable and functional, the houses offer two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people each. The elegant decoration and furnishings of stone and wood provide a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Four of the houses are two-storey, while the other two are single-storey.

De retour de notre voyage en Crète, nous tenons à vous faire part de notre avis sur les 2 réservations faites à partir de votre site. Tout d'abord, celle réalisée au sein de la Ville du Soleil à Makry Gialos. Cet endroit est merveilleux où il y règne la tranquilité, la sérénité et l'authenticité. Manuela (française) et Kostas (grec) sont adorables; d'une très grande gentillesse et d'une disponibilité à toute épreuve. Le petit panier d'accueil avec les produits du terroir est attentionné et délicieux (confiture et petits-gâteaux faits maison), raki, huile d'olive... Nous nous sommes vraiment ressourcés et nous nous sommes laissés guider sur les bons conseils de Manuela (guide touristique) et Kostas (très bon connaisseur de son île) pour découvrir des lieux magiques et retirés de la foule. Visit the organic estate of olive groves, try olive tasting experience and participate in the harvest in October and November.

In the surrounding area:

The quiet fishing village of Makrigialos with its big sandy beach is 3 kilometers away from the property. There you will find restaurants, cafes and a small supermarket. From the harbor of Makrigialos the boats leave for Koufonissi.

The area is famous for its natural beauty, its endless beaches, its quaint traditional villages, its beautiful churches and its magnificent gorges.

Do not forget to visit the mountain villages with its unique views, among these are the villages Aori, Agios Stefanos, Azali, Bemponas, Chrissopigi, Lapithos, Lithines, Orinos, Pefkos, Pervolakia, Schinokapsala and Stavrochori.

The Kapsa Monastery, built on a rocky hill, leads to a small cave and offers breathtaking views. From there the Pervolakia Gorge starts that reaches up to the village with the same name.

You can have beautiful walks in the small canyon of Pefka that begins from Makrigialos and in the gorge of Koutsouras which connects the villages and Koutsouras Mountain. (3-4 hours)

The Lamnoniou gorge ends in the beautiful beaches of Xerokampos (5 hours). The small gorge of Kato Zakros meets the European path E4 (1 hour) and the canyons of Chochlakies and Klamafkas in the outskirts.

Some of the most beautiful beaches are: Laggada, Makrigialos, Kalamokania, and Diaskari. In most of these you can do water sports.
