From Athens : National road Athens-Lamia-Thessaloniki. After the city of Katerini, follow the direction towards Veria-Kozani-Ptolemaïda-Amindeo-Xino Nero-Aetos-Sklithro (560 kms, 5 hours approx). From Thessaloniki : National road Thessaloniki-Katerini, then follow the direction towards Veria-Kozani-Ptolemaïda-Amindeo-Xino Nero-Aetos-Sklithro (165 kms, 1 hour 30 approx). To Agonari Guest House is located at the entrance of the village just opposite of the famous restaurant “Taverna tou Thoma”.

Thomas, who is also a sommelier, and his father, Nikos, are great adorers of wine and they maintain a cellar with more than 365 labels of Greek wines and about 80 exclusive bottles. They will be more than excited to share their passion with you!

With the house as a starting point, the active and very capable Takis, the person who is responsible for the local center of eco tourist activities suggests: Horse riding, trekking, mountain biking, canoe-kayak, bird watching, and canoe rides in the lake, walks in the European paths E4 and E6. 
 
Make a stop at the Arktouros information center for the protection of Bears at the village of Aetos.

Visit the wetlands of the 4 lakes of the region: Zazari, Himatitida, Petron, Vegoritida (Natura 2000).

The region is very close to the Wine Roads of Macedonia. It is worthwhile to visit some of the wine producers and taste some of the wines.

Visit the recently renovated village of Nimfeon and the bottling factory of the natural carbonated water of Xino Nero.
