Description

The six sunny houses of the organic farm “Chamaloni” are located over the Gulf of Finikounda, near the village Yamia, in the heart of a lush olive grove of 40 acres providing spectacular view of the sea. Evgenia and Lefteris offer their guests a warm welcome, as well as special care.

In a tranquil and friendly environment, the houses are arranged in pairs within the estate, not far from each other, but at the same time sufficiently far apart so that there are no hassles.
 
The owners have their own home in the olive grove and welcome you like friends with a refreshing treat or a glass of wine of their own production. Their discreet and effective presence, contributes to the quality of the accommodation offered.
 
Evgenia will offer figs and pears from her garden, fresh eggs from her chicken coop and will not omit to offer you a taste of her jams and pies. In this farm, all that you taste are originating from the farm garden.
 
If you wish, breakfast can be served in your room, consisting mainly of organic and farm fresh products and delicious traditional savory or sweet recipes, prepared by Evgenia. 
 
Similarly, meals (lunch or dinner) can be prepared by Evgenia after consultation with her if requested by the guests.
 
Outside in the garden, tables and benches are available to the guests, as well as a barbecue area and an area for the children to play.

This summer we went to 4 places recommended by GuestInn, and all were very good. But our best experience was in Chamaloni, which we warmly recommend. (I just convinced my brother to go there :-)) In few words: - the region : Messenia is not very crowdy (no mass tourism like in Attica) and still very interesiting and authentic - the position is excellent : on top of the hill, with panoramic view on sea, islands, hills - the cottage (67m2) : extremely confortable, air conditioned in all the rooms, very nice furniture, 5* hotel bathroom, big veranda with beautiful view - the environment : a real farm, with lot of biological products, cats, dogs, chickens, ... One night I wanted a peach, I just stand up and take it from the peach tree ... just delicious ... - the guests : -- Evgenia (the grand-mother) is very nice and excellent cook; she prepares authentic hellenic dinners (quite different from souvlaki/moussaka in the Plaka ..) , with all products from the farm ... so good ... -- Georgia and her husband and childrens are so nice; giving lot of tips and practical help; we became friends -- This was our best stay; the place is excellent but what makes it unique are the guests; we'll come back next year and warmly recommend to everybody.

From Athens by road: (295 km, 3.30 hours approx.) National road Athens – Korinthos - Tripoli - Kalamata. From Kalamata follow the direction to Messini, then to Petalidi and Koroni. After the village of Velika, turn left in direction of Petalidi and Koroni. From the main square of Petalidi, follow the signs to Koroni, then to Yamia and Finikounda. By air: Daily domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki Daily international flights from several European countries By boat from Italy: Daily departures from Venice, Ancone and Brindisi to Patras, located at a distance 230 km of the village of Yamia.

Dans les environs :
Yamia is an authentic village with strong rural character, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, ideally situated for visiting this fascinating area (Methoni, Koroni, Pylos, Finikounda) and its beautiful beaches.
 
You can swim in the crystal clear waters of the beaches of Finikounda, Chrani, Chelonaria, Vounaria, Kombi, Agia Triada. This area is full of beautiful beaches, so the only problem you might have is to choose which one to visit.
 
Do not forget to visit Kalamata, the capital of Messinia, the historical center with many significant museums and monuments as well as the Church Agii Apostoli and the Castle of Villardouinos.
 
During the summer there are many festivals and cultural events. The most important one is the International Dance Festival taking place during the 2nd half of July.
