Τhe Elephant Goupa Beach, is a two person beach house situated in the picturesque and colourful area of Sirmata Goupa. Only one kilometre from Psathi, Kimolos’s charming port, the location takes its name after an impressive rock-shaped Elephant nearby.
This small residence was initially a former “sirma” – a small cave-like dwelling dug into soft rock that was originally used to protect fishing boats from winter winds. The Elephant Goupa Beach is the first «sirma» in the area to be transformed into a holiday residence of exquisite atmosphere. A real deal escape!

Numerous walking routes are able to guide you to every corner of this virgin island, some of them across Skiadi, an imposing stone in the shape of a giant mushroom. If you’re not a fan of walking, you can always skim through the waves with a sea taxi that will tour you around the island so you can enjoy the captivating waterfronts and volcanic geology from within the waves. Should you wish it, you can also expand your exploration by visiting the neighboring islands of Polyaigos, Milos and Sifnos. Also, the outdoor summer cinema of Kimolos, "Kalisperitis", provides you with a variety of movies, free of charge!
Northwest of the island, at Skiadi, the imposing stone "mushroom", sculpted by the winds of the region is a rare geological phenomenon of great interest.
At the Chora of Kimolos, a pretty typical Cycladic village, you can visit the ruins of the medieval castle and the interesting archaeological museum.
You should not miss the windmills at the Xaplovouni village and the old stone bridge at Pano Klima.
The beautiful beaches are located mainly in the south side sheltered from the northerly winds. Among the golden sandy beaches are Aliki, Bonatsa, Kalamitsi and Prassa.
Worth to visit by boat the neighboring islands, Aghios Georgios and Polyaigos, opposite Psathi.
