At the rural and calm village of Xirokambi, 3 km from the seaside, a beautiful, ancient house, reflecting the colors and the air of Crete, is waiting for you. Family Sarris will welcome you warmly and will tell you all about their traditions. Here, you will enjoy some pure moments of pleasure, in Cretan style.

Built in two levels, this traditional family house has been recently renovated, with respect to the local architecture, and is surrounded by a verdurous garden smelling nicely the flowers’ and aromatic herbs aromas.
 
There is a staircase taking you to the house’s main entrance. At this level, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a dining room, a living room, two double rooms with bathroom, a mezzanine with a double bed and a nice, furnished balcony. There is an interior staircase which gives access to the ground floor where you may find a double room with bathroom and a furnished courtyard, with an independent entrance and access to the garden.

Relax and share some unique moments under the large pergola offering its shadow thanks to the wonderful vine, full of grapes. 
and a small swimming pool with chaise-longs, sun umbrellas and a shower. The place is shadowy thanks to the big mulberry.

Tassos and Maro are there to offer you all the necessary to prepare your breakfast for the first day, as there is no market nearby the guest house.

Pour la troisième fois j'ai passè mes vacances, avec ma famille, à villa Sarri. La maison est vraiment de charme, grande et confortable. A mon avis les plages les plus belles de Crete sont dans l'ouest et ainsi villa Sarri est vraiment bien située. En plus les proprietaires sont vraiment gentilles et sympas. Maro et Tassos sont des amis qui cherchent de rendre super la vacance. Nous avons déjà nostalgie de villa Sarri. Nous reviendrons.

Nous avons séjourné en famille à Xirokambi (Xenonas Sarri) et avons été extrêmement content de ce séjour: La maison est très bien située, très confortable et très bien agencée.  Elle a de plus beaucoup de charme et une vraie atmosphère. La maison et les espaces autour sont très soignés, et tout était impeccablement propre. L'accueil a été très chaleureux, très attentif sans être envahissant: Tassos et Maro Sarri  ont un vrai sens de l'hospitalité. - Nous avons beaucoup apprécié également les échanges que nous avons eu avec eux, et qui nous ont permis de découvrir un peu mieux leur vie d'agriculteurs. Bref, ce séjour a parfaitement répondu à nos espérances et nous repasserons par les services de Guest Inn lors de prochains séjours.

Nous avons été ravis, et souvent impressionnés par la qualité des logements que nous avons successivement occupés, ainsi que par la gentillesse et l'hospitalité des propriétaires ou du personnel d'accueil. Nous souhaitons donner une mention toute particulière donnée à Xenonas Sarri. Cette maison de village est vraiment exceptionnelle. La disposition générale et l'authenticité du lieu, la décoration d'une très grande qualité nous ont vraiment subjugués. Par ailleurs, et avant tout, Tasos et Maros ont été des hôtes formidables. Un grand moment !

Access Information

From Heraklion: Direction towards Rethymnon and Chania. After the city of Chania (do not enter in the city center) take the direction towards Platania and then to Kissamos and Kolymbari. As soon as you passed the villages of Gerani and Pyrgos Psilonerou, turn left towards Kontomari and Xirokambi (160 km, 3 hours approx.) From Chania: Direction towards Kissamos, Platania and Kolymbari. As soon as you passed the villages of Gerani and Pyrgos Psilonerou turn left towards Kontomari and Xirokambi (20 km, 30 minutes approx.) The Xenonas Sarri is located 300 meters after the villageʼs entrance, on the small and quiet main street at your left.

To see / To do

Ride horses by the sea, lakes or in the countryside along with qualified guides. The horse riding centers are located at the guest houses or at a maximum distance of 10 km
Explore the Greek countryside on your bike. Mountain bikes are available at the guesthouse or at a maximum distance of 5 km
Share our owners' love for their land, and participate to the annual harvest of the farm
Cross the calm little street passing from the house and you will find the garden. From there you may pick, on your own, the fruits and vegetables.

Tassos, the owner, being himself a professional farmer and producer, will be excited to tell you all about the secrets of the farm life and, depending on the season, you may follow him in the process of vintage and crop of olives and oranges.

From the end of August to mid September, it is the period of grape-harvest when people step on the grapes barefoot inside the traditional wine-press. In Mid-September, the harvest of olives is taking place and if you are there during the period, you are more than welcome!

Four mountain bikes are at the disposal of the guests free of charge.

Horse riding in the village of Deres 7 km from the guest house.
From the guest house you may also explore the western part of Crete.
Wander around the wonderful town of Chania with its picturesque little port which is always full of life.

Walk at the upland of Omalos. For those of you who love adventure, we suggest you pass through the canyon of Samaria. There is also another nice excursion that we suggest you to take to Elafonissos and Palaiochora as well as to the wonderful beaches of Sougia and Falasarna.

Do not forget to taste the village’s new traditional tavern at 500 meters distance from the guest house.
Visit the less crowded sandy beach of Pirgos Psilonerou, 3 km from the village.
