Description

Kyparissi is a traditional village, hidden between Geraki and Monemvassia, which looks like a real postal card. It is known as the “island of Laconia”, due to its white houses and the navy blue colours of its water.

At a distance of less than 100 meters from the beach, at the built-area of Paralia, Esther and Giannis will welcome you friendly in their big snow-white house with a wonderful view at the sea.

Recently renovated, the guesthouse Kyfanta offers all one needs for calm and relaxing vacation, within a friendly atmosphere. At your disposal, there is a small reception building with a bar, sitting room and big TV, library and the billiard.

Within a garden of 2000 sq. meters, among the olive-trees, the house’s guests and friends are all gathered around the cafeteria, as soon as the time has come to enjoy a cold frappe, an ice-cream or even a set of backgammon. When it gets dark the olive-trees are lightened up by thousands of small lights.

During that time there is nothing bringing you more close to happiness than to enjoy your cocktail, listening to a soft music and with the company of some good friends. 

A traditional wood oven, a small barbecue installed in the garden at your disposal. Do not miss to taste the specialties baked by the owners regularly only for their guests.

Très bien placé, très propre. Accueil déplorable qui s'est un peu arrangé par la suite mais la responsable est très peu présente. C'est dommage.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans un lieu qui invite à la détente. De plus nous avons bénéficié d’un appartement avec une grande terrasse tout ça pour 3 personne. Esther qui parle français nous a conseillé pour des achats de produits locaux. Il n’y avait pas les petits déjeuners a cette période, mais autour des restos/tavernes proposent des petits déjeuners si on n’a pas envie de le préparer....

Très bel appartement avec terrasse, bien agencé et décoré. Accueil très sympathique, en français. Randonnées à proximité, baignade aussi avec une préférence pour la plage un peu plus loin. La route pour rejoindre Kiparissi offre de superbes vues . Merci à Esther pour son accueil et ses bons conseils.

Access Information

By road: National road Athens-Corinthos-Tripoli-Sparte. At about 2 kms before the city of Sparte, turn to the left towards Geraki and then towards Alepopchori-Agios Dimitrios-Kremasti. Before you arrive in Kremasti, follow the direction towards Charaka and Kiparissi(340 kms, 5 hours drive). As soon as you arrive in Kiparissi, turn to the left towards “Mitropoli”. The guest house is located 150 meters further to your right hand side.

Kiparissi has three main neighborhoods: Metropolis, Paralia and Vrissi.

The built-area of Vrissi, at a distance of 1 km from the beach, is built on the foothill of the rock while the small church of Holy Mary is built at the interior of the rock, next to the Aesculapius sanctuary and Atalantis sources. From there the view of the Kiparissi bay is amazing.

Giannis who is born at the region will give you all the needed information on the region’s caves and the numerous signaled pathways appropriate for walking tours.

Leaving Vrissi, follow the signaled pathway towards the fir-forest to reach to Babala (in 1 ½ h.). You will be surely rewarded by the astonishing panoramic view.

The paved pathway of Stavros belongs to the E4 European pathway and interlinks Charakas and Kiparissi villages.

The nice beach of Kiparissi is located just a step out of Kyfanta guestrooms.

The other two nice beaches of Agia Kyriaki and Agios Nikolaos, located at a distance of 1 km, are not very busy.
